A recent gathering in Madrid brought together community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, hosted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, highlighted intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and respect. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers presented different experiences and viewpoints on how mutual knowledge can help build more inclusive communities.

Throughout the gathering, participants considered themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of Human Rights discrimination. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when supported by education and dialogue.
